On Saturday, July 21, we will be going on another of our scheduled monthly driving events. This trip will start in Oregon City, meeting at Home Depot at 9am. We will wind our way through the backroads around Mt. Hood, Hood River, and then stop for lunch in Washington. More details are below.

Washington ABFM, Bellevue

 On Friday morning,]July 27th, several CLNW members will be heading north to Bellevue for the ABFM. A cocktail reception will be held Friday evening at Park Place and the ABFM will be Saturday at Bellevue Community College. Sunday there will be a breakfast and drive. Mt. Hood Loop

We will meet Saturday, July 21st, at 9am in the NW corner of the Oregon City Home Depot parking lot (Park Place/Hwy 213 exit from I-205). From there we’ll have a scenic drive on paved back roads to Welches, OR, and then Hwy 26 and 35 around Mt. Hood to Hood River. Lunch will be a short drive across the Columbia River to BZ Corner. The drive back will be along I-84 and the Historic Scenic Highway with optional stops at the beautiful waterfalls of the Columbia Gorge. The drive leader will be Mark Velky in his green Elise.

Washington ABFM

Friday, July 27: The CLNW group is planning to drive their Lotuses to Bellevue for the pre-meet cocktail party at Park Place. To avoid Seattle’s Friday evening traffic, we will meet at 9am at the milepost 11 Rest Stop on I-5 (it is the first rest stop on I-5 after crossing into Washington from Oregon). We will be having an early lunch at Sowerby’s British Restaurant in Chehalis (exit #77) and then will continue on to Bellevue to our motel and from there to the cocktail party. Park Place is at 13710 Northup Way, Bellevue (7:00-8:30pm, photo contest, raffle, packet pick-up). Those of us from CLNW travelling up on Friday will be staying at the Larkspur Landing Home Suite Hotel, 15807 SE 37th St., Bellevue, WA. Their phone is: (425) 373-1212. On Saturday, July 28, 2007, the Western Washington ABFM will be held on the grounds of Bellevue Community college, located at 148th Ave SE and Landerholdm Circle.
